I am an artist and a mural painter. I split my time between London and the south of France where I ran an Art Academy with my husband. I keep returning to London because I love the city and its history.
Q. What inspired you to become a guide?
A friend knew a guide who works for Walks Tours and told me about how much she was enjoying taking people on tours. Knowing how much I love London and its history, I thought that I would enjoy guiding too and I absolutely have.
Q. What do you love most about London?
London has so many layers. It is two cities and many villages that joined together over a period of more than two millennia. Because of that there is so much to discover.
Q. Tell us a story from one of your tours.
On my Churchill tour, I tell a story about my favourite spy, who was a double agent. You'll have to join my tour to find out more!
I am a Cordon Bleu cook.
One of my murals can be seen by the public in the Hilton London Paddington.
I am a Freeman of the City of London.
Q: Best time of year to enjoy London?
March and April are my favorites. Spring is in the air and the summertime crowds haven't arrived yet.
Q: What do you tell your visiting friends to see in London?
Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and the Tower of London are not to be missed.
Q: What about the culture in London should people not miss?
London is full of free museums and amazing art galleries. We are so lucky.
Q: What are some unmissable foods and drinks?
I recommend trying afternoon tea. Get the Cornish cream tea (butter, then jam, then cream), sandwiches with the crusts cut off and cakes. My tip: Don't eat lunch before!
