I’m a 64-year-old native Londoner, and I love this city. Although I’ve lived all over the world, I’ve always returned.
Q. What inspired you to become a guide?
To be honest, I became aware that a lot of people that visit here don’t get a great experience of London, and I want to change that.
Q. What do you love most about London?
Too many things. London is so large and so strange it contains no less than everything.
Q. Tell us about a memorable moment from a tour.
How about the time I guided Miley Cyrus and had absolutely no idea who she was…
I’m a luthier, a craftsman who makes and repairs stringed instruments
I’m a painter
I don’t drink beer or like football
Q: Best time of year to enjoy London?
For me, the autumn is the best time of year to enjoy London.
Q: What do you tell your visiting friends to see in London?
The Tower! The Tower of London is a must-visit. There's history, mystery, and royalty all wrapped up in one. If you can catch the opening ceremony or the closing ceremony, the Ceremony of the Keys, with Walks even better!
Q: What are some unmissable foods and drinks?
Pie & mash is the ultimate comfort food in my opinion. A bacon sandwich from Borough Market, which is actually a stop on the Ultimate London Food Tour is another one of my favorites.
