Excellent
Our tour guide Brunella is an archeologist who also works at the Pompeii excavation, so she was very knowledgeable about the history, the artifacts, and very familiar with the route and sites. We did our tour during Easter holiday; it was raining, we had seniors and a very curious child asking multiple questions during the tour. All together a challenging situation. But Brunella did a great job pacing the tour, waiting for everyone, giving us time to walk around and explore and respond to all the questions. Everyone received an ear piece so it was easy to follow the explanation even from a distance. We started at Porta Marina and finished at the Big Theater. We covered the current excavation site - where you walk above the building through a metal structure - ourselves on our way out. There is one place to buy food, but it was crowded with long lines, so my recommendation is to bring food and water so you can eat, rest and explore more. Definitely recommend this tour if youre looking for a small group (max 15, we were in 13), being able to ask questions and focus on the history, instead of trying to find you way around (not easy since all look the same and there are no street names).
