Tour guide was fabulous. Only suggestion is that your meeting directiobs said in front of restaurant but guide was across street at entrance To Pompeii so fix that next time

Ilaria was our lovely, lively tour guide. She is an archeologist and has worked on Pompeii digs in the past. She is full of wonderful stories and explanations for Pompeii. Anyone would be very fortunate to have her as a guide. I loved her cat umbrella!

Our tour was led by Ilaria T., who is an archeologist and has been working at Pompeii for many years. She is extremely knowledgeable and mixed information with humor. Pompeii, of course, was an amazing experience, but Ilaria really made the visit special.

FAQs

What if the weather is bad (rain, snow, hail, etc.) on the day of my tour?

Our tours run rain or shine so please dress for the elements. We also ask you to please remember hats and sunscreen if you are taking this tour in the summer as it might be very hot.

Is Pompeii accessible to people in wheelchairs?

The streets of Pompeii have never been repaved or smoothed over so much of the city is nearly impossible to navigate for those with mobility impairments. If you use a wheelchair there is a special route for you, so please contact our customer service department for details.

Can I bring a bag into Pompeii with me?

Only small bags are allowed into Pompeii. Larger bags or backpacks will have to be left in the luggage lockers in the train station. Tripods are also not allowed.
