Tour Guide, ALEGRA, was very knowledgeable, fun, and kept us moving and motivated throughout the pouring rain. Managed to see it all!

Great way to visit Mt Vernon
Our tour guide Allegra was engaging, informative, really kept us on our schedule to get through everything. The boat ride was enjoyable.

Our guide Allerga was great. Only disappointment was the main house was in the middle of being repaired so we only saw two rooms. The rest of the tour was good. Great day apart for it rained all day but nobody could do anything about this.

Must see! This is a great tour!
Faith M. Our guide was Fantasic! We traveled by boat on the Potomac which was great! We were able to see Mt Vernon from the river in its glory. We hiked, we toured the home, and saw the gardens. Our guide Faith made the trip so memorable with her knowledge & enthusiasm!

Great. Faith was super knowledgeable, Allegra was great but seemed a bit all over the place. The tour was interesting but crowded and rushed… we also almost missed the boat. The food wasn’t awesome for the lunch voucher.
Does this tour go inside George Washington's mansion?
The mansion will be closed from November 1, 2025 through June 2026 for renovations to get ready for America's 250th birthday. During this time no one will be allowed in the mansion.
